Foundation problems are typically caused by bad drainage, ground movement, subsidence or poor construction, which can make your foundation shift or settle. Also effecting foundation stability is expansion and contraction of clay soil coniditions caused by extreme moisture and/or drought.

Your foundation repair problem will usually be noticed when doors that used to open and close start sticking, or a gap appears between the skirting board and the floor/carpet. Incomplete or failed waterproofing around and under basement walls and floors is a significant cause of foundation failure.

Piers are designed to stabilize the footing ad foundation of your house or room addition. Piers are installed under the footing to keep the house from further movement and in some cases the foundation can be raised back to original location. Piers are typically drilled down to bedrock or load-bearing soil. Piers are constructed of concrete with steel reinforced rebar rods.
